On May 6, 2023, Asst. Prof. Dr. Khanisara Thansunthornsakun, President, presided over the opening of the pre-internship orientation and cultural experience program organized by the Department of Business English (International Program) at the Meeting Room 2, Chaermprakiat Building, Udon Thani Rajabhat University.
Since Udon Thani Rajabhat University, Thailand and Chengdu Polytechnic, China, agreed to academic exchange, and the launch of the Business English 2+2 Program in 2022. Udon Thani Rajabhat University has welcomed its first cohort of 20 students from Chengdu to study in the Business English International Program for the second semester of the academic year 2022. The aforementioned students enrolled in an internship in the first semester of the academic year 2023. This three-week pre-internship program which is held from May 5 - 27, 2023, aims to provide students who choose to intern in Thailand to provide the students with the knowledge and skills required for work-life as interns, as well as the smooth transition from living and working in their home country, China.
The program is run in close collaboration with the Business English (International Program) and its partners, which include the Silkroad Academy, which was established through a collaboration between Chengdu Polytechnic and Udon Thani Rajabhat University, the UDRU Sino Team for International Cooperation, the UDRU Office of International Affairs, and Chengdu Polytechnic representatives.
Throughout the past year and a half, Udon Thani Rjabhat University and Chengdu Polytechnic have collaborated on a variety of academic activities, such as teacher and student exchanges, co-organizing online professional development training for more than 300 Thai Chinese teachers across Thailand and the upcoming an e-Commerce workshop under the Silkroad Acad
